A strong high school resume should show reliability, responsibility, and results from wherever you have earned them, whether that is a part-time job, a volunteer role, a club, or a class project. Highlight hours worked or volunteered, customers or people served, money raised or handled, deadlines met, grades and coursework, and any certification such as a food handler card, CPR, or a work readiness programme. Give numbers even for small things, because a specific record of showing up is what an employer is checking. State your situation plainly, since a student with a part-time job, a recent graduate seeking full-time work, a student seeking a first job, a student with no work experience yet, and a senior heading to college are hired on different evidence. Use the examples below to see how to turn school, volunteer, and early work into clear, results-focused resume achievements.
