A strong fundraising resume should show money raised against goal and the donor relationships behind it. Highlight dollars raised per year, portfolio size and retention rate, campaign results against target, cost per dollar raised, gifts closed at each level, and for leaders the team size and board work. Name your credentials and systems, because a Certified Fund Raising Executive credential and donor database platforms are filtered on. State your role plainly, since a coordinator keeping the data and events on schedule, an officer managing a portfolio, a manager running programmes, a director leading the function, and a volunteer chair leading a board committee are hired on different evidence. Use the examples below to see how to turn development work into clear, results-focused resume achievements.
